The Business Analyst position is primarily responsible for detailed research of liquids disposition and marketing as well as the development of financial and economic analysis.  This position will serve as a development opportunity for a person interested in a career path in commercial or marketing roles who desires exposure to financial and economic analysis, project development, deal strategy and structure, negotiation tactics, and deal transition to operations.  Knowledge of Midstream’s business portfolio would be beneficial but not critical to the success of the person in this role. 


This person must be action oriented and demonstrate the ability to work on multiple projects and take multiple pieces of information and develop a framework of opportunities for further development.  This person will need to work well across the organization managing interaction with business unit and technical services functions, and coordinate deal, due diligence, and transition teams.  In addition, the person should demonstrate the ability to use creative approaches to research, to analyze and to disseminate critical information in a clear, concise, and standard format.  The position requires some interaction with potential and existing customers, and members of the Midstream Leadership and Williams Senior Management Teams. 


As part of the job responsibilities this position will also be accountable for developing the playbook that documents the processes, procedures, tools, resources, reports and forms used in this job function.  The playbook will be utilized as a guide for support of not only the person in this position but others in the organization who may come into a similar type position or need to better understand the responsibilities of this position.  Once the playbook is developed the person in this role will be responsible for maintaining, enhancing and improving the guide, always developing innovative ways to enhance the way in which this position manages workflow and meets the needs of the organization.

*  Active participation in and contribution to the effectiveness of several midstream groups 
*  Ability to articulate opportunities to team members, management and counter-parties in a convincing and open manner.
*  Effective communication via  various reports and presentations.
*  In addition to researching opportunities and providing information, must be able to analyze issues and trends to communicate and debate analysis to and with key stakeholders.

*  Ability to work with other groups to gather and utilize information such as GIS/maps and other corporate-wide resources

*  Ability to work a flexible schedule, based on workload demands



Education & Experience
* Engineering and/or Business Degree
* Entry level or minimal experience in technical, commercial, or operations background
* For entry level candidates, a strong academic record would be preferred.  For those with work experience, a track record of strong past performance in the candidate's prior area of expertise is required.
