Our greatest asset has been and will continue to be our people.  We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of Construction Specialist within our Williston division based in Dickinson, North Dakota.
The successful candidate will support surface and plant infrastructure construction activities as a member of a team responsible for planning, scheduling and coordinating construction activities while maintaining the highest standards of HES performance.


  • Minimum 8 years of experience in construction, modification, and repair of oil field facilities and pipelines
  • Demonstrated construction management skills including material & labor planning, cost & schedule estimating, contracting, cost & progress tracking and management, documentation, post appraisal and process improvement
  • High proficiency in use of computer database and spreadsheet functions (Maximo, Access, Excel) and  Microsoft Office Suite
  • Demonstrated high level of effectiveness working in a collaborative teamwork environment
  • Demonstrated effective communication in written and verbal forms; adept at selection and use of appropriate communication techniques (e-mail, fax, phone, cell phone, Internet, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of oil & gas production operations, associated pipeline systems and surface equipment, and demonstrated ability to integrate construction activities with ongoing operating activities
  • High proficiency in use of construction drawings, survey drawings, and installation specifications
  • Working knowledge of applicable API, ASME, and OSHA codes and standards
  • Thorough working knowledge of pipeline and facility installation practices
  • Thorough application knowledge of NDT testing techniques
  • Ability to effectively contribute in constructability reviews & assist in the engineering effort
  • Ability to lead others to accomplish construction tasks
  • Ability to select and manage pipeline and facility installation contractors and inspectors
  • Ability to travel as required (a valid driver’s license is required)
  • Available for call-outs
