The Corrosion Specialist provides technical support for all levels of the Williams Midstream organization, supporting other senior members of the corrosion control team.  The position manages the Pipeline Compliance System (PCS). The position enhances existing  processes, develops and drives a consistent enterprise-wide methodical approach to corrosion control process implementation while also developing new processes, performing quality assurance checks on the processes and communicating issues to the appropriate level of management.  These activities are key to the integrity and reliability of a Midstream asset base that is both diverse and complex in design, operating temperatures, locations, facility ages and locations ranging from offshore deepwater to onshore desert operating environments.  It is expected that the individual can influence a diverse, non-centralized organization comprised of many geographic zones having local individual goals to form and champion one common direction and goal that is consistent with the enterprise direction.


Key Activities:

  • Manage / maintain the PCS database, assuring data is accurate and in compliance with regulations and company standards, including maintenance of corrosion control metrics.
  • Direct liaison among field based corrosion technicians, the Pipeline Integrity group and American Innovations, providing assistance as needed for everyday issues and special projects.
  • Perform corrosion control inspections, troubleshooting, audits and training of others as assigned.
  • Leads continual development, maintenance, and implementation of Company external corrosion control standards through technical reviews, updates, and staying abreast of new technology.
  • Develop advanced corrosion control credentials and leadership skills.



  • Bachelor of Science degree with 2 years of corrosion control experience or 2 year technical degree with 4 years of corrosion experience, required.
  • NACE certified CP Level II or ability to obtain certification within 12 months,
  • Proficiency using and maintaining PCS in a multiuser environment



Williams Corporations will pay relocation for this position.
