Title Engineering Technician

Description Reports to Asset Completions Manager in Denver and provides support to the Completions Engineering and Operations teams for the Piceance asset. Responsible for Operations and Engineering data integrity, QC, manipulation, and analysis needed to support a multi-year, multi-rig drilling and completion program, workovers, and other asset enhancement projects. Supports engineering studies and projects using data mining knowledge and analytical experience. Works with other departments to accomplish project objectives.

OpenWells and Webcore
Run OpenWells (and other data management software) support and training for Piceance Asset in Denver and Parachute.
Run end of well reports
QC data
Create user documentation
Become the OpenWells Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the
Piceance Drilling and Completions groups.
Software Administrative Duties
Create/Edit User Input Forms
Build Templates & Reports
Data Management
Understand data model
Table Structure
Query Building
SQL or Access
Assist in data QC to ensure accurate input
Data Management Projects
Provide directives/Insights/SQL code for new element creation
Interact with vendors to solve problems
Non-routine travel is expected (to support field operations staff).

Collaborating and Working with Staff, Consultants and Vendors Daily to Optimize Operations, Increase Productivity, and Positively Impact Asset’s Profitability.

Demonstrates experience in engineering technician tasks related to drilling, completions, workovers, design and specification, production optimization, and ongoing production and maintenance activities.
Communicates with direct supervisor and team members. Ensures accurate and timely reporting of critical activities.
Requirements Qualifications:
1-3 years Oil and Gas E & P Operation
Associates Degree; Bachelors Degree preferred

Must demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills to handle multiple tasks with changing and conflicting responsibilities and accountabilities.
Must be self-motivated and an enthusiastic team player capable of completing tasks in a group environment.
Familiarity with project economics and related software a plus.
