Overview: |
This successful candidate will be working in the Bakken Asset Team primarily supporting company operated development. The candidate will be expected to work closely with engineers and management to extract and format production and well data for analysis and presentations. Completing AFEs in a timely manner to support development is an essential job responsibility. The candidate will also assume lead responsibility over some special projects or tasks . The position will be primarily office based with occasional trips to the field.

Responsibilities: |
- Compiles data from routine and non-routine sources as requested by engineers. Examples include budget, reserve, invoice, AFE, performance metric, and production data. Performs, manipulates and maintains datasets for engineers for easy retrieval
- Manipulates data to ensure it is in the correct format for maintenance. Creates, arranges and adjusts project records and databases that include datasets consistently used by engineers
- Monitors work of projects tests to ensure that work is completed according to plans. Puts results into appropriate formats and presents to management for review
- Demonstrates proficiency with basic software packages used for daily duties and responsibilities
- Analyze/extract data from TOW, SAP and Hyperion to assist with production and cost variance analysis
- Positively interact with office and field personnel in a manner that creates an atmosphere of creativity, cooperation and attention to the safety of all personnel, the environment and Company assets

Qualifications: |
EDUCATION/WORK EXPERIENCE
|
Associates degree in related technical major (Math, Natural Sciences, Computer Science/ITS, Geology, etc.); Bachelor’s degree (non-technical major) plus at least two years of technician related work experience in the oil and gas industry; or a High School Diploma plus at least five years of technician related work experience in the oil and gas industry.

COMPUTER PROFICIENCY

MS Office Suite, TOW, Aries, OFM, Enerdeq, VOLTS, Hyperion and Spotfire
|
GENERAL KNOWLEDGE
|
Knowledge of production process operations, including production and reservoir engineering, field operations, production forecasting, and basic economics
|
COMMUNICATION
|
Excellent oral and written communication, teamwork, and planning & organization skills
|
OTHER
|
Ability to identify problems, generate novel ideas, and implement solutions
|
