This position is responsible for coordinating the development and implementation of the Enterprise Business Continuity Planning (BCP) process.  The position is responsible for maintaining the tools, training to enable the process and for the prioritization, maintenance and testing the BCP plans.  This position serves as a subject matter expert for the organization and will be responsible for aiding business unit/functional area management in protecting the organization, mitigating exposure, and helping ensure critical operations can continue, or are resumed efficiently in the event of a business interruption.  The incumbent must demonstrate strong abilities to effectively communicate at all levels.  The position must be dedicated to superior customer service. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a central repository of business continuity information, including risk assessments, business impact assessments, business unit/functional area continuity plans, emergency response procedures, and contact information.
  • Assists the business units/functional areas with development and maintenance of business continuity plans.
  • Develops processes and procedures to ensure information is accurate and accessible.
  • Schedules and helps develop and facilitate regular testing of plans, summarizes results and tracks follow-up items.
  • Assists in facilitating continuity planning awareness and plan training.

 

The ideal candidate must have a sound technical background in business or contingency planning with at least 5 years experience.  The candidate must have a proven track record for displaying leadership skills and facilitation skills.  The candidate must have in-depth experience in developing, implementing and testing plans.  College degree required.  Certification as a Business Continuity Planning professional preferred.
