Overview: | ||||||||||||
The individual filling this position would be responsible for organizing and maintaining the Reservoir Performance team drive and assisting team members with data loading, presentation preparation, and mapping requests. She/he would also assist in administering Petrel licenses and tracking the Reservoir Performance software budget. The major workload would be associated with supporting data requirements of various Integrated Project Teams. This involves locating, QC, reformatting, loading, and mapping of geological and engineering data. The ability to convert non-digital data to digital data through various methods: OCR, digitizing software, and keypunching is required. An understanding of available internal and external databases is very helpful. Cartographic knowledge of projection/datum usage and conversion is important. |

Responsibilities: | ||||||||||||
The position requires the capability of working in both the Linux and PC environments. When re-formatting large datasets, the ability to program is helpful. The applications commonly used are OpenWorks, SeisWorks, Petrel,OpenSpirit, BlueMarble, ArcMap, NeurLog/NeuraMap, SpotFire and to some extent Geographix, GoCad, VoxelGeo, Diamante, TOW, DSS, Eclipse, and OpendTect. |

Qualifications: | ||||||||||||
Education: Associates or Bachelors required. Bachelors preferred. A degree in geography, science, or IT is preferred in order of priority.
Experience: Five years of experience is preferred, but less experience will be considered. |
