The MBI Systems Engineer is the lead for all corporate systems, including but not limited to: Citrix, Remote Desktop Services, VMware, Windows and Linux Servers, corporate storage, and data backup and recovery. The Systems Engineer also oversees active directory, group policies and general policy scripting.

The System Engineer is also responsible for analyzing, designing, developing and testing the corporate systems, both on premise and in the cloud, to ensure the integration of software, hardware, reliability, maintainability, and other requirements that align with business efforts.


Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Manage the design, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of all VMware and Citrix systems.

Manage, install, configure and support Linux and Windows operating systems in addition to third party vendor software.

Participate in providing technology assessments in support of automation and technology initiatives.

Recommend improvements; maintain/monitor production and non-production systems to ensure infrastructure performs at maximum efficiency.

Help develop and maintain plans to ensure successful recovery of operating systems environment in the event of a disaster according to DR policy.

Perform systems analysis and tuning to ensure optimal operating systems response for multi-user applications.

Develop, implement, and continually improve system and network monitoring and alerting capabilities and procedures. Report on uptime metrics to management.

Manage all network storage devices.

Participate in 24/7 on call for level 2 support.


Required Skills

Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills

Proficient knowledge of desktop operating systems

Proficient knowledge of PC/Server hardware, software and peripheral equipment (printers, plotters, scanners, copiers, fax machines, etc.) including set up and installation

Working knowledge of the Microsoft domain and networking environment, including active directory, global catalogs, DHCP, DNS, WINS and group policy objects

Working knowledge of LAN/WAN and wireless networking

Must be able to work in a team environment

Must be able to perform the essential functions in a fast paced and high stress environment.

Must possess exceptional customer service skills and the ability to work with current and potential customers, both internal and external.

4 year Bachelor's degree or 2+ years relevant work experience.
