Lease Records Analyst I

Job Title: Lease Records Analyst I 
Department: Land

This is the first level Lease Records Analyst position. The employee in this position is well versed in the clerical duties performed in the department. The essential duties are at an analytical level and performed with a varying degree of supervision along with a supporting role in assisting others with more advanced analytical responsibilities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following plus various other duties that from time to time may be assigned: 

Process LPRs for lease data input and payment
Establish lease number and input lease data in SSI 
Process invoices for lease acquisition cost
Ensure proper accounting coding for all payments
Ensure checks, wire transfers and EFTs are processed and mailed in a timely manner
Track title fails and refunds
Update SSI to ensure current and accurate lease data
Process SWD surface lease obligation payments
Process recording of legal documents
Establish desk notes for analytical tasks

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and have a working understanding of general land and oil & gas matters including the basic recognition and associated purpose of contracts agreements, documents and correspondence. General computer expertise is required with substantial word processing and spreadsheet experience. Must be attentive to detail with good organizational, time management and interpersonal skills. Must be self-motivated, responsible, and professional and can perform independently. High school graduate and one (1) to two (2) years related experience.
