Load Planners help handle the growth of our business through transportation service management.  Load Planners must multi-task, manage groups of people and provide top tier customer service.


Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Communicate effectively with customers.
  • Assist drivers and give clear orders required to complete loads safely.
  • Make decision pertaining to the safety of drivers and facility personnel.
  • Resolve problems quickly.
  • Responsible for scheduling the daily customer work efficiently and within the available pool of drivers and company fleet.
  • Arrange & coordinate transportation.
  • Train and develop less experienced dispatchers.
  • Establish service routes to ensure safety and logistical efficiency.
  • Provide input to company management concerning the ranking of the driver pool in regards to performance.
  • Determine the priority of loads, such that, customer wells will never be shut in or frac projects shut down.


Required Skills

  • Must possess industry related knowledge pertaining to driver challenges in the field and match drivers as required to the skills needed.
  • Must have an understanding of DOT and FMCSA rules and regulations.
  • Must possess a knowledge of current Federal Hours of Service rules and regulations.
  • Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, maps, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Must possess strong computer skills to perform this job successfully. Should have knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word programs
  • One to two years of oilfield related experience preferred.
  • Ability to work weekends.
  • Transportation and Logistics experience preferred.
  • Ability to adapt to change.
  • Must be able to work independently in a team environment.
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions in a fast paced and high stress environment.
  • Must possess exceptional customer service skills and the ability to work with current and potential customers, both internal and external.

High school diploma, GED or equivalent. Bachelor's degree preferred.
