Job Purpose:

This position will be an engineering and technical resource within the Operations Analysis group. This position will act as a liaison to assist in the implementation of the PI System across the Midstream franchise organization in order to optimize the value of Midstream’s business. This position will also be responsible for creating and maintaining technical analysis templates in support of Midstream groups.

 

Responsibilities: 

       Lead and direct technical initiatives/projects and coordinate key functions with internal and external technical resources under the guidance of Project Life Cycle

        Determine the preferred scope option for implementation and set-up the core project team to move the initiatives/projects through the execution phase

        Manage the conversion of technical data from control systems to the Real Time Operations Analysis System

       Work with various applications of the PI System in order to eventually become a subject matter expert

        Create and maintain technical analysis utilizing the Real Time Operations Analysis System for various Midstream groups

o    Strategic Processing Optimization - creating and maintaining the interface for various process simulations

o    Asset Reliability subject matter experts - creating and maintaining various types of analysis templates for process plant equipment

o    EH&S subject matter experts - creating and maintaining various types of environmental analysis and emission controls monitoring on process plant equipment

o    Operations and other groups – creating ad hoc analysis on operations performance issues

       Understand the economic drivers of the technical analysis being developed and incorporate them into the studies

       Present recommendations supported by sound engineering and operational efficiency and effectiveness that support Midstream reliability targets

       Must show a consistent ability to meet set deadlines

       Provide active input in developing and implementing a successful strategy for Midstream.

  

Qualifications:

       Bachelors degree in Engineering required;

       3+ years technical and operations experience required;

       Gas processing, NGL or petrochemical plant experience highly valued;

       Must possess an aptitude for economics and analysis

       Broad experience in gathering and processing operations, project management, and project development.

       Experience conceptualizing viable technical solutions, analyzing technical problems, and developing, implementing and maintaining technical analysis.

       Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate at various levels across organizational boundaries, and influence others without hierarchical authority.
