An Operations Manager will be responsible for growth and development of the organization in the respective district; driver retention, operations, safety, quality and procurement. Implement the corporate direction, vision and goals. Achieving the budgeted financial performance and profitable growth while ensuring compliance, quality, client services and best practice methods are in line with corporate standards.


Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


  • Invite and provide feedback to employee questions, concerns and ideas. Act as liaison and go-between for driver, mechanics, QC's, HSE, HR and regional management
  • Evaluate driver's performance, perform coaching and discipline events. Work with senior management and HR concerning promotion, compensation and termination decisions
  • Ensure all affected employees are compliant with FMCSR


  • Be familiar with equipment and understand optimal usage
  • Ensure that equipment is kept in good working order and hold employees accountable to MBI policies and standards
  • Communicate concerns to the fleet maintenance staff
  • Ensure all equipment is fit for duty and in compliance with local, state and federal standards
  • Relay PRC concerns from drivers to customers


  • Conduct safety meetings with the help of QHSE team and management
  • Hold all employees accountable to MBI Energy Services policies and standards
  • Address and intervene when trends and incidents indicate performance problems
  • Provide employees with feedback from PRC data



  • Communicate any customer feedback and information to the management team
  • Report operational and HSE concerns as required. Relay PRC concerns from drivers to customers
  • When possible, attend customer safety meetings
  • Conduct random field audits and visits at least 4x a month
  • Understand the customers' area of operations, develop and maintain relationships


  • Understand and address driver pay issues
  • Work with procurement to purchase supplies for locations
  • Assist in preparation of bids for new work
  • Understand utilization of company assets
  • Understand local P&L and implement cost control measures to meet budget requirements

Required Skills

  • Have intermediate skill with Word and Excel able to use pivot tables
  • Shall have a working knowledge of oil and water logistics and processes
  • Utilize WM&L tools and reports when making decisions
  • Must be able to work in a team environment
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions in a fast paced and high stress environment
  • Must possess exceptional customer service skills and the ability to work with current and potential customers during internal and external settings.
