This position is responsible for the safe operation, inspection, maintenance of natural gas processing plant equipment and instrumentation at the Ignacio facility near Durango, Colorado. The facility treats and processes natural gas for various customers in the San Juan Basin and takes pride in reliable customer service. The primary duties will be to support the control room operator during the assigned shift. Typical functions include; start/stop/switch equipment, respond to alarms & troubleshoot, assist drivers at loading dock and take equipment readings.


 Individual is responsible for assigned projects and duties as required, including: obtaining natural gas, oil, amine and water samples for analysis; operating and maintaining gas-fired boilers, wet and dry dehydration units and other rotating equipment in the plant. This includes turbines,reciprocating compressors and various pumps and auxilliary equipment.  Properly maintain and complete maintenance records, service reports and other required documents as required.


 Williams requires strict adherence to the Sysytem Interigity Plan, regulatory requirements and company core values and beliefs.  The indivdual will be required to attend safety and technical training and progess in the Operations development process. The successful candidate will be initiative driven, dependable and have the desire to develop increasing levels of leadershipl skills.


Requires excellent verbal and written communications skills.  Must be proficient with Microsoft Office applications and possess adequate PC skills.  The qualified candidate will be willing to learn and develop in the Personnel Development Program, have a good driving record and ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted.  Must be available to work overtime, night shift, weekends and holidays, and have the ability to work under limited supervision.


Williams Midstream business unit is looking for an Operations Technician in the Four Corners Area (FCA) of colorado.  Depending on the background and experience of the applicant, this position has been posted to consider  op/tech II through Sr. levels. 




To qualify as an Op/Tech III or higher, the candidate must possess high level operational skills in at least one (1) of the following ten (10) Operational Functions:


1.) Pipeline Operations and Maintenance 

2.) Measurement and EFM 

3.) Instrumentation and Electronics   

4.) Plant and Station Operations 

5.) Rotating Equipment Maintenance 

6.) Vessels and Mechanical Integrity      

7.) Controls and PLC’s

8.) Electrical Systems

9.) Field Dehydration and Hydrate Prevention                        

10.)  Offshore Operations and Maintenance
