Overview:

We are currently looking for an experienced Production/MOCR Technician for our Pleasanton/Gonzales area to be part of our Eagle Ford Asset Team.  Marathon has purchased assets in the core of the Eagle Ford shale formation in Texas in a transaction valued at $3.5 billion.  With these assets, Marathon has the potential to book up to 100 million BOE of proved reserves by the end of 2011.  In addition, production is expected to increase to approximately 80,000 net BOE per day by 2016 with the expectation to drill 250 – 300 wells per year over the next five to eight years. With 14 drilling rigs currently in operation it is anticipated that the number will increase to 20 by the end of 2012.

 

The Management of Change (MOC) Technician will be responsible for MOC process for new construction projects, modifications and field operations and to provide support for ongoing field development within the Eagle Ford play in South Texas.  The successful candidate will work closely with the engineers, Construction Group, Supervisors, I & E Technicians, Measurement Technicians, Lease Operators, Maintenance Leads, Construction Leads, TOW Admin., and SCADA Admin. This position will report to the Production Superintendent for the Eagle Ford Asset Team and will be located in Pleasanton, Texas.

Responsibilities:
  • Initiate Management of Change (MOC) in KMS system as required by Marathon’s MOC policy.
  • Primary go-to person as MOC liaison on field issues to staff personnel and will be responsible to work through technical issues with engineering staff and operations team.
  • Collaborate with fellow Eagle Ford team members to develop drawings.
  • Assist in preliminary oversight of field facilities.
  • Verify all required information, which includes equipment information is included in MOC’s and PMOC’s.
  • Confirm that appropriate PSSR’s are included in final MOCR.
  • Held accountable for maintenance documentation that needs to be recorded for necessary equipment.
Qualifications:

Education:                             High School Diploma or Equivalent.

Experience:                           Preferred to have 5+ years of technician or data management experience supporting technical staff or strong administrative experience including technical support.

Computer Skills:                  Microsoft Office Products. Training will be provided as appropriate for TOW, Aries, Access, SCADA and other software as deemed value-added. An understanding of oilfield data collection will be very beneficial.
