Overview:

This Senior Facilities Engineer position is responsible for oversight and project management of various facility engineering projects which support Kenedy area production operations in the Eagle Ford Shale play.  This includes the planning, specification, and construction support for onshore production facilities in conventional and unconventional developments. 

A self motivated individual with well developed planning, technical and teamwork skills is essential. Field experience and skills in project planning, permitting, crude oil and gas operations, gas separation and compression, production vessel design and construction, pipeline design and construction, safety and environment and problem solving is preferred. 

Position will be based in San Antonio but travel to the field locations and Houston office will be required.

Responsibilities:
  • Interfaces with a multi-disciplinary team to obtain and develop design criteria for well and field gathering facilities, including production wellpads, SWD systems, main batteries, gathering systems, etc.  Will lead and or participate in planning for field developments.
  • Project management of engineering activities, including inter-disciplinary coordination, contractor management, and operational interfaces.  Able to provide clear project definition, communication, and objectives.  
  • Oversight and management of contract engineering, including development of a scope of work, cost estimate, design basis, deliverables list, etc.  Additionally, will be responsible for contractor deliverable quality control and review of deliverables.
  • Interfaces with project controls to ensure clear, achievable, and track-able benchmarks for cost and schedule targets
  • Works with vendors and Global Procurement to coordinate the purchase and delivery of materials and equipment
  • Working knowledge of Pipeline Integrity Management and ability to coordinate and contribute to development of the EF Pipeline Integrity Management Program
  • Able to design, specify, and size facilities significant equipment and systems, including;
    • Tanks, Separation equipment, Compression and pumps
    • Flowlines and production gathering systems for oil, gas, and water, both DOT and non-DOT systems
    • Relief and flare systems
    • Safety and shutdown systems
  • Working knowledge of facility heat and material balances, P&IDs, and cause and effect charts for upstream gathering systems and central batteries
  • Assist business development with the evaluation of high level cost and risk analysis for new opportunities
  • Able to lead an inter-disciplinary team to perform a Process Hazards Analysis (HAZOP)
  • Coordinates with the field personnel to ensure the engineering design considers lessons learned and promotes continuity across the production organizations while meeting the needs of the end users
  • Able to develop and contribute to the writing and reviewing of facility standards for design and construction
  • Will be called upon to provide management presentations from time to time.   
Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; Mechanical or Chemical Preferred

Experience: Ten (10) years experience required with some amount in North American onshore oil & gas operations, project management and integrity management experience required as well

Computer Skills: General computer skills and basic experiences with word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications are required.
