A Trainer's primary responsibility is to train new and existing employees at MBI according to their various job assignments, develop training courses, and maintain/improve the training center facilities and grounds under the direction of the Training Manager with input from Operations.


Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Assign daily tasks to trainees.
  • Prepare, create and maintain a consistent training schedule for training center activities.
  • Prepare classroom and facility for training on a daily basis.
  • Maintain a positive influence on students encouraging study and preparation, to pass required lessons taught.
  • Understand MBI, regulatory, and customer training requirements per standards.
  • Verify trainees follow schedule of topics and work within time frames allotted.
  • Assure rosters and evaluations are distributed and collected, with signatures, each day.
  • Maintain paperwork and turn into administrative staff.
  • Must be able to work with other instructors and students to answer position related questions.
  • Review daily evaluations for accuracy.
  • Review student progress and make recommendations in detail to training manager, in writing if necessary.
  • Attend weekly planning meetings.


Required Skills

  • Must possess strong communication skills.
  • Must be able to lift 20 pounds multiple times during the day.
  • Ability to accommodate periodic travel to outlying company locations.
  • Must adhere to Company policies and work requirements.
  • Must have flexibility in work schedule, scheduling can demand 24/7/365 including holidays.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment.
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions in a fast paced and high stress environment.
  • Must possess exceptional customer service skills and the ability to work with current and potential customers, both internal and external.

Education and Experience

Associates degree or 2 years of relevant industry experience required.


Licenses and Certifications

  • Valid driver's license.
